Sie war schon zu Lebzeiten eine Legende. Ratina Z hat es Ludger anfangs nicht leicht gemacht. Als Olympiazweite kam sie in seinen Stall, beide mussten erst zueinander finden, doch dann begann eine unglaubliche Erfolgs-Serie. Ratina hat Ludger zu dem gemacht, was er heute ist. Mit ihr hat er gekämpft und gesiegt, beide waren ein Team, das in einer Reihe steht mit Milton/John Whitaker, Shutterfly/Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum, Baloubet du Rouet/Rodrigo Pessoa.

Ratina ist 2010 verstorben.

Allerdings, liebevoll "Anton" genannt war Henriks Olympia-Pferd von London 2012. Ursprünglich kam der Fuchs aus dem Stall von Hans-Günther Winkler und wechselte nachdem auch Marco Kutscher einige Erfolge mit ihm verbuchen konnte unter den Sattel von Henrik, bis er schließlich an eine dänische Familie verkauft wurde.

The descendants of Zinedine have achieved a masterful debut in the sport. Zensation won silver at the Westphalian Championship, Zorro made the fourth place at the Oldenburg Championship, Zealand, Zapzarap, Zackzack RS, Zineline, Zephyros and Zac S. etc. have all won in jumping horse competitions. Among his five licensed sons is the OS-winning stallion Zinedream and Joker l’Enclos de l‘Ange who was licensed in Belgium. Zazou who reached the final ring of the German Foal Championship was sold for a high price at the Oldenburg auction. Second champion of the huge foal championship in Poland was a daughter of Zinedine-Che Guevara. After initially competing in sport in Poland, Zinedine was carefully prepared by Ludger Beerbaum for upper level courses. In 2014, facing fierce competition, Zinedine took second place in the Grand Prix of Paris/FRA and London/GBR, fifth place in the Grand Prix of Shanghai/CHN, proving his unlimited talent. Later Zinedine won at the World Cup shop in Zurich/SUI, took fifth rank in Shanghai/CHN and placed at the CSI5* in St. Gallen/SUI and at the CSI4* in Wiesbaden. His sire Guidam (by Quidam de Revel) was awarded as the „Stallion of the year“ 1996 in the Netherlands. Dam Unadonja has won ribbons in show jumping up to 1.45 meter with Shane Sweetnam/IRL. The Holstein dam sire Heartbreaker belongs to the world’s best show-jumping sires.

Zinedine’s first crop of foals calls for a drumroll! “Foals with a very positive vibrancy, sufficient power and the necessary elasticity”, said Westphalian’s Breeding Director, Wilken Treu, obviously impressed. The highly refined and wonderfully long-legged foals also have excellent characters and horse fans all over the world have taken notice. Zinedine made a really spectacular debut as stallion. Right from his first foal year he presented the winner of the OS licensing in Vechta, who was later offered at the stallion market for the top prize of 215.000 Euros. Also at other licensing dates, outstandingly jumping sons of Zinedine have been part of the stallion collections. A daughter won the free-jumping competition in Verden.

The sire is a Belgian branded son of Clinton who was very successful under Dirk Demeersam (BEL).In 2008 Cornet Obolensky, ridden by Marco Kutscher belonged to the forth place winning German Olympic team in Hong Kong. In 2011 the pair took the team gold at European Championships for Germany. They earned many other prizes as well including the World Cup Jumping in Zürich (SUI), and national prize Rome (ITA) and Rotterdam (NED), as well as a total of almost 800.000 euros in prize money. In breading Cornet Obolensky has also been on the spot. Almost 60 of his sons have been licensed, including Black Jack, Cristallo I and Cristallo II, all of whom are standing at stud in Riesenbeck. After her time in breeding the dam, Chablis du Lys, became highly successful internationally under her owner Denise Sulz. The dam’s sire, Champion du Lys was ridden by Ludger Beerbaum, and noted as one of the most successful jumping stallions ever. The grand dam Ayette was herself successful jumping to the M- level, and produced four S-Jumping horses. The third generation of this pedigree follows with Alexis, as son of the line founding Almé. This chestnut Hanoverian stallion earned more than 210 wins and placings all the way through to the top prizes. More than 80 of his 450 sport offspring, including Apricot D, ridden by Hugo Simon (AUT), have been successful in the most difficult jumping courses. Even the great grand dam Winzerin earned prizes through to the M-level and mothered the Licensed and internationally successful Air Dancer (f. Alexis)

Catoki is by Cambridge, a stallion who unfortunately died at a young age but still had time to take the Reserve Bundeschampion title in the class for five-year old show jumpers in 1993 under Ludger Beerbaum and the wins international competitions. He is a half-brother of the licensed stallion Casco Z (by Coriall). His dam Bilda also gave birth to L.B. Calvano (by Cantus), who successfully competed internationally under Susanne Behring/SUI. The dam’s sire is the Silbersee son, Silvester, a Holstein Verband stallion in his day, whose offspring won more than 1.2 million Euros in sport. Twelve of his sons were licensed. The granddam Vordula is the dam of the licensed stallions Lago (by Landgraf I) and Laurenz (by Lord) as well as a medium (M) level show jumper named Conzerto (by Cambridge). Cor de la Bryère, an imported Holstein stallion of the century, is found in the third generation. The great granddam Limburg, who won ribbons in tests for young riding horses, is the dam of the licensed stallion Rocadero (by Ronald) and a medium (M) level show jumper named Lakotas Laura (by Latus II). Catoki, just like his son Carrico, who is also stationed in Riesenbeck, is a representative of the famous Holstein line 4705.

Catoki set standards as a sire at an early age. Of his more than 180 offspring in sport, nearly 20, including Caprys, Catan, United Love, Contanga and S.I.E.C. Carriere, win ribbons in advanced level classes. His offspring have also dominated various Bundeschampionats. His 23 licensed sons also include the current Hanoverian Show Jumper Champion, Commissario.
